
In my early years online I would have been lucky to read, listen or watch one tenth of all the ebooks, audios or DVDs I purchased.
You see, I was far to busy jumping from one product to the next to worry about actually implementing what I was learning.
So you don’t have to be a rocket scientist to work out that I wasn’t doing very well. In fact, I was losing more than I could afford.
Sound familiar?
And that’s the problem.
This is the same scenario being played out by 90% of new marketers online…
…and it is one of the biggest (if not THE biggest) reasons why most people fail to earn any real income online.
YES, it’s important to purchase products so that you can educate yourself on the latest methods to build and grow your online business…
…but unless you actually take action to put in place what you learn then you’re fooling yourself. You’re simply wasting your time, energy and money.
Only when you understand and totally accept that you *MUST* take action to implement what you learn will you move forward and begin building a solid future for yourself.
But before you do anything, you first need to decide on what business model you will use to build your business.
Once you’ve done this, you then need to be become a master of that model by studying all the techniques and strategies relating to this area.
For example, if you selected internet marketing as your niche you have the choice of many models to build your online business…
- Affiliate Marketing
- Blogs
- Butterfuly Marketing Sites
- Paid Memebership Sites
- Authority Sites
- Adsense Sites
- eBay
- and more…
Each of these models have many list building, traffic generating and other techniques you need to learn.
But a word of warning…
Don’t fall into the trap of trying to use multiple models when your first start out.
YES, using multiple models is a great way to explode your income, but this can only be done one step at a time. Trust me, I’ve been there, done that. You simply won’t have enough time to do this all at once.
First apply and master the various techniques for your chosen model – and then only when you’re showing good returns should you move on to another model.
Now building your business and earning an online income is not going to be easy. It will be frustrating, time consuming and at times it will mentally drain you.
But if you focus on one thing at at time, stay strong during times of adversity and follow your system, you WILL succeed!

No copywriter worth his salt lets their website copy run without testing it for responses. The following are the two systems favoured by copywriters:
1. A/B Split Testing – A simple test of one element of a page against another to see which is more effective.
2. Multi-Variable Testing – Testing more than one element at a time to test new page treatments or offers.
Let me explain further exactly what each test actaully is…
A/B Split Testing:
In the A/B split testing you divide your visitors randomly into two groups and show each group a different version of a page. The variations may be of many types from color, to font, to offers of gifts.
The purpose of this testing is to see which version results in higher conversion, average order value, application completion, or other targets. Analysis of different results would create a summary that describes the impact of the A or B page version.
The two versions are shown to visitors normally called the A or B test group. They are observed on their visit, sometimes on several occasions to assess their reactions, especially to see as to whether they are likely to purchase anything after visiting the page in its existing or new format.
One fault of this system is that it requires very large samples, ie number of visitors for satisfactory test results.
For this reason the test may take a long time, which in turn do not take into account the many seasonal factors affecting the purchasing behavior of your visitors, for example, people are more likely to spend during the festive season.
Multi-Variable Testing:
A better way is to test elements on the page in different combination of designs etc. This approach is called Multi-Variable Testing and it allows you to test the elements on a page that you believe impact sales.
When planned and executed carefully, Multiple-Variable Testing virtually guarantees a positive change over your existing page.
A Multi-Variable Test on a product landing page might test the product image, the headline and the product description copy. The goal is to create the most compelling page possible so that visitors to this page, often paid for through search or banner advertising, convert to customers at the highest possible rate.
Two or more alternatives of the picture, description and headline are created and a page is composed for every combination of these elements in each of their versions. If there are 3 elements with two alternatives, this requires 8 combinations or “recipes.”
By splitting the traffic randomly and showing each visitor only one version, you can determine the optimal recipe. The advantage of Multi-Variable Testing over A/B Split Testing is that you can nearly always find a recipe that outperforms existing.
The problem with Multi-Variable Testing is that if you have more than three elements or more than two alternatives, the number of combinations becomes so large that it takes too many visitors to run a conclusive test.

Even though starting an affiliate marketing, business is easier and more affordable than starting a real-world business there is still some risks.
This is why it is important to conduct your online affiliate business as you would any other business. If it is your sole source of income you’ll want to give it your all and make it as successful as possible.
Today we will look at ways to get your business going and make it successful so that you can get your online business off to a great start and keep it profitable.
The first golden rule of any business is to identify the demand.
With affiliate marketing you’ll likely be giving a range of products to sell. Check out the demand of these types of things.
You should try to stay away from trendy items. They’ll sell like mad one minute but you’ll be giving them away the next. You want thing that you know people want and need. That way your long term sales objectives will get met.
Next is don’t limit yourself to just one product. Try to offer a variety of things. Many affiliate marketing programs offer a selection and it is best to go with these.
Basing your business on one product may work in the short term. However someone will eventually come along with something better or cheaper.
Third, you need to set your business apart from others. You need to establish what makes you and what you offer better from others.
What do you offer that sets you apart from other businesses?
You should always use tact when talking about your competition. Putting them down or being rude will only backfire on you. Talk up the advantages that you offer and leave it at that.
Forth, you should always do your best to ensure fast and efficient service to your customers. However there will come a time when there is a glitch. You need to keep your customers informed and aware of what is happening.
Listen, things happen that are beyond your control but most customers are very forgiving if they are made aware of this. Keeping your customers in the dark could result in loosing them for good.
Finally, keep your customers happy. The happier they are the more likely they are to come back.
Offer your customers incentives such as savings on their next purchase. It may cost you more but only in the short term. Keeping your customers happy will result is them referring you to others.
Online affiliate businesses can be easier to operate in the sense that they can minimize risk, however everything else is like any other business.
You need to work very hard to keep your customers happy and you need to set yourself apart from others and protect yourself against the worst.
By following this simple advice you will be giving your online business the best possible chance for success.
As you would expect, creating a successful advertising campaign will have a huge impact on the success of your online business. You don’t need to be Einstein to work that out!
So how do you do you start?
When advertising you need to sell your opportunity and what sets you apart from everyone else?
Maybe you produce a newsletter with specific content where there is a demand from a particular group of people. Or you may promote your own special product that is brand new to your market. That´s a huge benefit!
That´s what you need to sell in your ad campaign. This is type of things you need to do in order to become successful.
You don´t have to be worried that making money online is difficult. It has never been so easy to make a decent second income or even a full time income. But it takes time, persistence and uniqueness.
The people looking at your ads and reading your follow up emails are going to judge you and your whole business not only by what you have to say, but also how you say it.
Be sure you send a powerful, positive and convincing message. Invest some time and money on your marketing sales copy, the payoff will be well worth it.
To get some ideas, look at others ads and see what´s attracting you. If you are interested in it, then it will most likely attract others too.

Read others ads, get some good ideas from them – don’t copy them. Just get some inspiration from them. Then let your friends take a look at your sales or email copy and ask what they think about it, honestly.
My best advice is that you continually work on improving your ad copy. How you craft your message will have a tremendous affect on your end results.
Write them down, leave them for some time and then go back to look at them again later. Let others look at them and after a while you will see a picture forming of your ad and you will see if it´s working or not.
If not then you have to start from the beginning and write a new one by following the same procedure. But now it´s easier because you are deeply involved in the process.
The internet is full of great examples of ad copy, start clicking around and read the ad copy of some experts in your market, this is the best way to learn what is working or not.
